Two years ago this month Paper Passionista toured the wedding facilities at Bellagio, and their facilities were everything we expected from such a beautiful venue. With last night's ABC The Bachelorette telecast being based at the Bellagio it seemed a good time to reprint our article for those who may have missed it last time.
The Bellagio's wedding chapels are very elaborately decorated and exude elegance. The wedding services staff person we spoke with said they allow bookings of weddings sometimes as far out as two years, unlike the one year limit we encountered at some of the other locations.
Bellagio has complete video filming of their chapel weddings with live broadcasting of your wedding on the Internet for those who want to see it but can't attend. When you approach either of the chapels this sign is prominently posted stating that by entering the chapel you agree to video taping. (They assured us we were not being videotaped during our photoshoot.)
The East Wedding Chapel is the perfect setting for an intimate ceremony, accommodating up to 30 guests. You can rest assured that whether you go with this chapel or the larger South Wedding Chapel which has seating for 130 guests, yours will be the only wedding occurring at any one time so you will also be able to utilize the attractively decorated gathering area outside the two chapels. All of the decor in both chapels is in very pleasant understated tones of cream, rose, peach, antique green, and a soft blue. Both chapels also have been accessorized with Italian hardware and chandeliers along with glass windows.

There is also an outdoor location available to you for weddings at Bellagio, though because of blustery weather when we were there we did not get to tour this area. It is called Terrazza Di Sogno, and this terrazza has a view of Lago Di Como where the famous Bellagio fountains can entertain you, set to go off simultaneously with your first kiss. This option can accommodate up to 34 guests.

Bellagio's wedding packages vary greatly in price, from the Deluxe Wedding Package, available Sunday through Thursday only for $2000 up to the Cosa Bella Wedding Package for $16,000 including tax. (This was 2009 pricing, so be sure to contact them for updated pricing.) This very comprehensive choice, includes a professional harpist during the ceremony, two copies of the wedding video, extended photography coverage, limo service from the airport and to the courthouse for the marriage license, Cristal champagne with special toasting flutes, gourmet chocolates, A Penthouse Suite for two nights, a $750 Bellagio Gift Certificate for the Salon and/or Spa, Continental Breakfast for Two in Bed, a romantic dinner for two, two tickets for Cirque du Soleil's "O" Show, and a Bellagio Custom Made Tote Bag. None of the packages include catering for the wedding reception and arrangements for this are made separately with the Bellagio Catering Department. For all packages they are subject to availability, and prices are subject to change. All packages include an officiant and floral pieces for the bride and groom, and there's a package for every budget (there are many price points in between the lowest and highest discussed here). For more details you can visit Bellagio's website and their wedding services staff will be happy to answer your questions or book arrangements at 888.987.3344 or email weddings@bellagioresort.com.
